Sunstones is a Danish company founded in 2023. They help remove CO₂ from the atmosphere in a safe, natural, and affordable way. Sunstones work with biogas plants, energy facilities, and future air-capture technologies to build and operate CO₂ mineralization plants.

At the visual communication agency Montgomery, my role for this client was to help develop their visual identity together with another graphic designer. I also held the main responsibility for designing and building their website, focusing on both UX and UI to ensure a clear, user-friendly experience.
The logo is designed to represent the three essential elements needed for CO₂ mineralization: CO₂, H₂O, and ash layers. At the same time, it forms the shape of a funnel, symbolizing how CO₂ is guided down into the ground during the mineralization process.

(TYPOGRAPHY)
I chose Degular as the primary font because its clean, modern, and approachable style aligns well with Sunstones’ identity. It feels trustworthy and professional, while still having a soft, human touch that supports their mission of creating natural and sustainable climate solutions.
I created two motion graphics for the project. The first is a looping animation of the words “Develop, Build, Operate,” illustrating Sunstones’ mineralization process in a simple and dynamic way. The second is a graphic showing the positive impact of carbon dioxide removal
