Copenhagen Cartel is a Danish swimwear brand from in January 2020 by founder Katrine Lee Larsen. The company’s mission is to challenge consumer patterns and challenge the traditional fashion industry’s production methods. Copenhagen Cartel produces swimwear, activewear, and other products made from recycled fibers and materials, particularly sourced from old fishing nets and other forms of ocean plastic.
VISION
(THE GOAL)
In this case study, I developed content for Copenhagen Cartel’s social platforms with the goal of helping the brand achieve greater reach and engagement. The focus was on showcasing how both the company and the consumer are making a difference for the ocean.
(THE CHALLENGE)
Copenhagen Cartel has a voice and a product that can help consumers feel like they are making a difference. This needed to be communicated more clearly, especially through their social platforms.
CONTENT CREATION
(SOCIAL PLATFORMS)
In order to create a shared community between consumer and brand around saving the ocean from plastic, I produced several pieces of content for Copenhagen Cartel’s social media. This included giveaways, promoting swimwear, and creating a campaign video.
PRODUCT DESIGN
(PRINT)
I designed a thank-you card that the consumer receives with their purchase. Additionally, I designed a tote bag that is distributed to individuals participating in Copenhagen Cartel’s beach cleanups.
